Adriana earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and has been in the mental health field since 2002. Beginning her career at the nationally recognized Institute of Living in Hartford, CT for 3 years, and 16 years in a state child/adolescent psychiatric hospital, Adriana was able to directly observe and study human behavior and mental health disorders, and in collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams, was able to implement various cognitive and behavioral interventions. Adriana subscribes to a Psychoanalytic approach, asserting that early experiences influence thoughts, behaviors, personalities, and life choices. Adriana enjoys sharing evidence-based psychoeducation, as well as relying on her highly developed intuition and perceptiveness to connect with and understand others. For these reasons, Adriana enjoys conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, most recently for reproductive medicine, a field that is deeply personal for her, as she experienced infertility and utilized reproductive medicine to conceive her twin girls. Adriana is licensed to practice in Connecticut, Texas, and Florida.
